9/3/09 Mr Vincent O'Sullivan of WWW.Vincentsfishing.com and his K9 Rebel, take all the Lough Currane head lines today, when they caught a 6lbs Salmon on the troll on the North side, and talking of rebel, it was raining cats and dogs all afternoon, amount of rainfall 9.4mm,max air temperature 11.0c. Wind WNW this morning then veered SW after midday, then the rain came in.10/3/09 Mr Dominic Mc Gillicudy was the toast of Lough Currane today when he caught a 6lbs salmon on the troll and for the rest of we Fishermen no comment. Wind WSW light for most of the day and went flat calm this evening with light misty rain, amount of rainfall 1.1mm, max air temperature 12.3c. 11/3/09 The mighty Wild Atlantic Salmon was in a lethargic mood, but the same couldn't be said about the White Tailed Sea Eagle, as it flew across Edry Bay looking for its prey, and I am sure he had better luck than we anglers had and just for the record I caught him on camera. Wind SW light to fresh this morning and fresh to strong this afternoon with heavy cloud with the odd bit of light drizzle, mount of rainfall 1.5mm, max air temperature 12.8c. 12/3/09 My noble salmon was as allusive as the White tailed Sea Eagle , need I say more. Wind went back and forth from WSW to WNW light to calm and by 4pm Lough Currane was like a sheet of glass and the rain came in, even though it was very light, and just for the record it was overcast all day with the odd bit of hazy sun breaking through at times. Amount of rainfall 1.6mm, max air temperature 12.2c. 13/3/09 Well, today was a wild day with a strong southerly wind blowing with heavy rain at times, amount of rainfall 6.4mm,max air temperature 11.5c. so fishing was virtually impossible if you were fishing on the North side, and the Southside would have been uncomfortable, so at least we Anglers had a good excuse for not procuring My noble salmon. 14/3/09 not a bad fishing day with a fresh to strong WNW blowing but light to fresh this afternoon and overcast all day, but again my noble Angler failed miserably in locating that allusive Salmon. Amount of rainfall 0.4mm,max air temperature 11.1c. 15/3/09 Here are the salmon results for Lough Currane, my noble Salmon won angler 0, wind SSW light to calm with the odd light gust and overcast, max air temperature 11.2c, water temperature in Coffee's Bay 9c. That is all the news from your gillie and the Waterville Fishery, or I should say the lack of it, sorry for that but that's fishing. No Spin No Fly's just Facts.
