25/1/10 All quiet on the south west front. Wind, flat calm this morning but come 2pm there was a nice gentle breeze coming from the south and at times veered SE, amount of rainfall 0.1mm, max air temperature 9.9c. 26/1/10 my noble Salmon were in a lethargic mood today and to be honest my noble angler isn't far behind going by the mount of boats pontificating out on the lake. Wind S light to calm with bright sunshine throughout the day. Max air temperature 9.3c. 27/1/10 Just one or two boats out and all failed miserably in their duties in producing my Noble Salmon. Wind NW light to fresh and overcast with light rain coming in this evening, amount of rainfall 0.7mm, max air temperature 10.3. 28/1/10 The same as yesterday in all departments, so the least said the soonest mended. Amount of rainfall 1.7mm, max air temperature 9.2c. 29/1/10 Again just a couple of boats out and just a few Kelts caught. Wind first thing this morning NNW strong with violent gusts and overcast with light showers throughout the day and then veered N light to fresh then veered again into the NE this evening, max air temperature 9.3c. 30/1/10 Just a few boats out and all failed miserably in procuring my noble gentlemen or Her ladyship. Wind NNE light and overcast with light drizzle this evening, amount of drizzle 0.7mm. Max air temperature 7.6c. 31/1/10 Again all quiet on the SW front, wind NNE light with bright sunshine throughout the day, amount of rainfall 2.0mm and just for the record there was 161.5 mm of rainfall for the month. January has come to an end, but at least we got a good start to the 2010 season with a 11lbs fish on the opening day caught by Mr Will Hamill but not much to report after that, for the month of January, but to be fair to both my noble gentlemen the Salmon and Lough Currane there were only an average of two boats fishing per day, and on that note I your Gillie will finish this months report. No Spin No fly's just facts.
