With a long wet and cold winter we will have good water flows in the Klickitat this season. This makes for less abuse on the bottoms of our drift boats. This now will be my 30th season guiding the Klickitat. Klickitat River Guides is a Salmon and Steelhead guide servise astablished in 1969 by my father. Holding the only guide permit for the Wild and Scenic section of the Klickitat has really made a great plus for our buisiness. Its like going back in time as in these days it seems there is more fishing guides than ever. Everyone always asks what works on the Klickitat river! In the years of Fishing Steelhead I can tell you its not about what you use! sure size of what you use depending on visibuility well help the bite but if you want to catch lots of Steelhead its about presentation and knowing where the fish hold up.
