Small Bass pond
Bill Laflamme

My fishing buddy and I fished a small bass pond near our home last evening. This pond is not accessible to the public without landowner permission and has a primitive boat launching area. This combined with light fishing pressure produces some excellent fishing. From about 5:30 P.M. to about 8:30 P.M. we boated over 35 bass, mostly largemouth but some smallmouth as well. There are a number of ponds in this area like this one that can produce some fantastic fishing. Most are not accessible with large bass boats but small boats and canoes work well. I have fished several over the years and have never been disappointed with the action.
