The fishing on Guntersville has been great for numbers the last week but the size has went down. Each day boating between 20-40 on full days and 10-15 on half days. The average seems to be best 5 16-18 lbs with a bunch of 3 lb fish. Each day the best bite has been on soft plastics in protected areas. The wind has made me fish protected areas off the main lake. The only other option that seems to work is throw a shallow running crankbait around bedding areas. The fishing should only get better as warm stable weather is ahead. I have April 27th and 28th open. In the firt part of May I have the 5th,6th,8th,9th, and the 11th-13th. I also have days after the 16th.
