I am sorry for any delayed responses to anyone by email or phone over the last week. We just returned from from Costa Rica. Leigh and I took a nice vacation with some sightseeing and fishing. We spent 2 days fishing and Leigh caught her first sailfish. The sailfishing was great but the Captain wanted to take us bottomfishing for a half day and we did not see a fish. Overall it was a great trip but it was not Orange Beach, Alabama. I was very happy to get home to a comfortable bed and all of the other comforts we all enjoy. I am looking forward to being on the water again with some good March Orange Beach fishing.

I have spoken to my friends here in Orange Beach and the redfish bite is still on and will probably be on till mid March. The cobia will hopefully begin to show by mid March. Both of these fish can be caught near the beach on a 4 or 6 hour trip. If you are looking for some bottomfishing then the vermillion snapper, white snapper and triggerfish are biting on the 6 hour trips. They are not big fish but can be fun on light tackle and are great eating fish. The 12 hour bottomfishing trip is still the trip to target grouper, scamp, vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish and amberjack. You choose your Alabama fishing charter and let's go fishing
