The spawn here on the St Johns River in the Central Area is near the end.

You may find a few scattered fish still on or around a bed but the major

spawn has passed. The past month we have been seeing a lot of bass fry

so it looks like this year was a great success.

The spawn being over means one thing. The big fish are hungry and the St

Johns River is full of shad so it's time for the big schoolers to get going.

I have some clients in town for five days and we are doing a little of everything

during this 5 day trip.We started off Saturday shiner fishing for big fish and it paid

off really well with Matt catching the biggest weighing 10, 7.8, and 5.8 pounds.

Sunday being Easter we took the day off and today Monday we spent the

day chasing big schooling fish on the main river.Matt Mike and Mark could not

believe the size bass we seen busting shad over main river shellbeds.

Rattle Traps and C Rig's paid off today.Tomorrow we are heading back for some

more schooling action and we plan to spend more time shiner fishing later in

the week.I still have some days open in late April and May so if you are looking

for some great Central Florida Bass Fishing please give me a call.
