Motor has just been serviced and runs perfect. It has been thoroughly tested by a professional with no problems found.

Compression tested out excellent, 145/150. Spark tested out good and is putting out a hot fat spark at 1/2" gap. Alternator was tested and the motor is charging good.  Lower unit was pressure tested up to 15 PSI and it held with no leaks. Old oil looked great. Unit was flushed and refilled with new oil. The water pump impeller on the engines was replaced with a new one as preventive as well as the fuel lines. The electric starter bracket was reinforced by adding a couple of bolts to it. There is three bolts that hold the starter on and one was missing when I got the engine due to the mount having some damage. Although it worked fine I added one to make it tougher. The exterior of the motor was thoroughly degreased and repainted with a quality marine paint. The wiring harness on the motor was inspected and found to be in good condition with no dry rot. Prop shaft is straight. Skeg is good. Bearings in the powerhead of the motor sound good. The motor runs well. It holds an exceptional idle. It holds an idle well when shifting the gears. It revs up good and sounds great throughout the throttle range. It sounds good wide open and has been tested at the full operating RPMS. Power output was tested on a marine dynamometer and the motor's output is exceeding specifications. Motor pumps lots of water and it is cooling very well.

I have video demonstrating some of the mechanical tests as well as the motor running. If you have sincere interest in the motor and are not able to show up in person let me know and I'll get it to you.

I will include one used free propeller with the motor for free. No controls are included nor is the motor stand. It uses the "yellow" quick connect plug in style.

Persons picking up in person will have the opportunity to hear the engine run and inspect the motor before paying. If you don't like it you can walk away with no problems or obligations.  I am happy to run the engine for you until you are content and you are also welcome to inspect or have an inspection of the motor before the sale. It's right as rain and everything is squared away on it as far as I can tell. However understand you are buying it AS-IS and it has no warranty.

I am happy to ship the motor to you at your expense and can crate and freight the motor to anywhere in the mainland USA. Rates given are for mainland USA and to most destinations. If you happen to live in an extremely remote area and shipping charges exceed the flat rate given by more than what I can absorb you will have the option of canceling the purchase at no penalty or paying the difference. No returns are offered or accepted on shipped engines.

Persons picking up the engine in person or with an Illinois shipping address will be billed 6.75% Illinois sales tax.

You can pay for the motor using PayPal if it is going to be shipped. If you are picking up in person CASH ONLY will be accepted after you have inspected and are satisfied with it.
