7x50 beh Kreigsmarine UBoat binoculars & case with Third Reich markings

These rubber armoured binoculars carry the beh markings for Leitz Wetzlar along with 7 x 50 and the serial number 458437.  This puts their manufacturing date very near the end of WWII.  The stamping on the front of the case confirms this, it is stamped 1944 beh.

The binoculars are in good cosmetic condition with just one small scuff mark on one barrel.  The rubber armour has a few cracks in places and the eye cup coverings are detached.  The lenses are clear and the oculars focus very smoothly.  The balsam joint between the prisms can be seen a little when back viewed and there is a very small nibble to the very edge of one prism.  Apart from these issues, normal viewing is acceptable.

The case is in excellent condition with just the securing leather strap broken.  The spring in the clasp is fine.  The rest of the case is perfect.  All the seams and loops and are secure.  The inside is very clean and has the filter pockets in the lid (no filters).  The lid is stamped with the Third Reich eagle emblem and the party symbol below.  To comply with ebay rules, this has been covered in the photographs.  If you require an original photograph, please send a message with your email address.  The lid also has the Kreigsmarine letter M stamped.  The front of the case has a date stamp 1944 with the beh code letters.
