 This auction is for 1 pound of bed run worms + bedding.  Bed run = you get what the pitch fork turns up ? adults, juniors and babies.  The worms are weighed, then bedding is added.

 European Nightcrawlers are also known as Giant Redworms, Belgian worms, Super Red, Carolina Crawler, Blue Worm and half a dozen other names.  The scientific name for this worm is Eisenia Hortensis.  These worms are prolific breeders once they get established into a new environment or worm farm.

  This worm is great for composting kitchen scraps.  Euros will eat nearly any food scrap you can produce with the exceptions of meat, dairy and bones.  Euros eat a diet rich in garbage.  Some studies indicate that Euros will consume food scraps at a greater rate than the Red Worm.  They are certainly better for larger foods that aren?t as broken down, or for tougher materials such as leaves.

 Euros are raised much the same as Red Worms, which makes it easy to raise and breed them.

 They prefer bedding that is moist but not wet.  Peat moss and coconut coir are perfect for bedding.  Bedding should be 8? deep.  It is important to top feed these worms so that the feed does not get mixed into the bedding.  It is best to keep the ph in your bedding between 6.0 and 7.0.

 The Euro is also a good food source for birds, turtles, reptilians, exotic pets and small pond and aquarium fish.
