Made by J&J TACKLE, cast from pure TIN, new in an unopened package. Like all J&J TACKLE lures this piece was manufactured more then 15 years ago....and this particular lure has been in storage since shortly after it was made.

A swinging hook Tin Squid....

Size: approx 4 inches (body) about 9 inches overall; Weight: a bit more then 1 ounce; finished with Yellow  hackle.

The Chevron Spoon was first marketed and used successfully in the 1920's more then four decades before the first Hopkins was on the market.

Fishermen have used similar pieces ever since....though most of them are made from plated/painted lead.....stainless steel....or "white" metal. none of these have the action and fish catching ability of the Chevron Spoons......which are made from pure tin....and have a beautiful....articulated body that  resembles an actual baitfish more then  any of the others.....

This piece has been proven deadly effective and has been catching fish for almost 90 years.

It can cast as far as you can see.....and when jigged it floats and dances like no lure you have ever seen.....and has been doing so for more then 8 decades..........

Some fishermen prefer the swinging hook tin squids......as the hook folds back when you cast.....resulting in longer casts.....even into the teeth of a stiff wind.....in addition if for some reason the hook get damaged or dulled....you can replace it for it is attached to the body of the squid with a (stainless steel ROSCO) split ring.

This is a perfect Fall Tin for that matter it is a great choice to fish anytime cast it....jig it.....you can even troll with it.
