WORM FOOD & GUT LOAD - nightcrawlers, red, meal worms For Sale

We are offering our own premium, proprietary SKOLEX WORM FOOD.  This is great for all worms that eat organic vegetative foods including red worms, wigglers, nightcrawlers, and meal worms.  It also makes a good GUT LOAD for crickets, meal worms, and other live foods for reptiles and fish.  It contains everything needed to fatten up worms and insects, and load them with essential vitamins and minerals.  This recipe is different from all others found commercially or on Ebay.  We can't claim it's better, buy you can try it and see for yourself.  We think it is.

Because it is a secret proprietary formula, we can't tell you exactly what's in it, but it contains a select mixture of grains, vegetation ingredients, vitamins / minerals, and carb products that worms love.   If you keep worms or crickets in small quantities, such as for bait or for feeding fish and reptiles, you may want to try the 1/2 pound package.  If you raise worms in large beds, you may want to order 5 lbs.  Or, a 1 lb. bag just to try.  If you (or your worms and crickets rather) like it, then you can order larger quantities.

Skolex Worm Food can be used as a primary food and bedding source for mealworms, and primary or supplement food for others.  Most composting worms (e.g. Red, nightcrawlers) like a variety of feeds.  Though our food blend provides plenty of key nutrients, and even some extras that worms would get fat off of, you may want to feed scraps and other foods in addition to SKOLEX WORM FOOD for variety and to lower costs.  For healthy, happy worms and crickets, don't grow them without SKOLEX!!!

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS:

Meal Worms - put worms in bed of mostly Skolex feed, add small amount of moist fruit or vegetable (e.g. apple slice, carrot), and small amount of damp newspaper or paper towel.  Worms will feed mostly on the food mix.

Red Worms - sprinkle over existing beds and dampen with water.  Turn remaining food over into bedding material 1-2 times per week (depending on rate of consumption).  This is a good time to add additional bedding and lime as needed.

Nightcrawlers - same as for Red Worms, except it is not recommended to work too much food into the bedding.  If excess amounts are left on top, remove it, or adjust food quantity and frequency accordingly.

Crickets - provide plenty of Skolex Worm Food for the number of crickets you are feeding.  Be sure to provide plenty of fresh water.
