About The Author: Captain Ron Metzger

Company: Lake Ray Fishing Guide

Area Reporting: On Beautiful Lake Ray Hubbard

Bio: Ron's boat is a 2005 Model 18' Fiberglass Center Console with a 90 HP Yamaha. The boat is equipped with fish finder, 2 aerated compartments, trolling motor, and canvas top, in case it gets a little hot out on the lake. Ron mainly fishes for White Bass (Sandies), Hybrids, and Black Bass (Largemouth). Your fishing trip will consist of three or five hours on the water with all bait gear and tackle included, as well as your fish cleaned, put on ice and bagged for take home. All you need is your Texas Parks and Wildlife fishing license, which can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Academy or other sporting good stores. You can also purchase a one-day license for in state residents for around $11.00 and $7.00 extra for 2-days. You are welcome to bring drinks or snacks (in a small cooler), hat and sunscreen and a camera to take pictures of your catch, Ron has a camera if you forget. Fishing varies from day to day, sometimes there are great days and sometimes fishing is a little slow. We will be going with whatever fishing patterns and bait that produce the most and biggest fish for that time of year. So, get your best friend or family member and let's go fishing.
