Rating: I Prefer One Kite For All Winds

When Bob Lewis kites first came out, we needed 3 or 4 different kites to handle the crazy wind variations of our area. A couple years ago I looked for a better solution and found SFE. There is no reason 1 kite should not be able to fly from 5 to 20 knots. I also use helium on the back of my SFE on the light wind days and it flies the same as my white bob lewis did. Now I see there is an orange kite out there, any idea who makes this and where I can find more info?

Just so you guys know the kites have been modified and updated from the old ones that were first available. I have tried the SFE and other kites and the first day I had my SFE, I lost a bar rendering the kite useless. The Bob Lewis has the bars fixed to the kite so no worries about that. I recommend you learn how to put a helium balloon on the back of your white kite and you'll outfish everyone when the winds are very light, especially for sails and big kings.

These kites have been revamped and are better than ever.I personally fish the sailfish tournaments with Capt.Jimmy Lewis and these kites helped us win the 2009 Capt.Bob Lewis Fishing Challenge in the outboard division. You can't ask for more than that. Thanks Jim!
