Got on the water this morning at 2:30 a.m. like always and there wasn't any wind. I hate that because it makes bait catching much harder. I have to bump the trolling motor along to move me around and attract bait. I managed almost 200 and needed every one of them.
No wind so drifting was out of the question again today. Last trip the lack of wind also forced me on anchor and it worked out really well. So, I dropped an anchor in the same spot and the fish came almost at once.
Just good steady numbers of fish under us always.
We burned through 200 baits in 2 hours and boated 80+ fish. Nothing over 5lbs today, but multiple doubles and triple action.
Beautiful day.
Anchored in 60+ foot water near the river ledge. Dropped live baits down 30ft. Hardly saw any boats.
Company: Blue Water Striper Guide Service
Area Reporting: Lake Texoma
Bio: I've grown up fishing on Lake Texoma. Since Stripers have replaced Sand Bass as the species of choice on this lake, I've targeted them exclusively. I am a member of the Catfish Bay Guide Association and fish out of Catfish Bay. I offer services that most guides on the lake don't, like completely removing the red line from the fish. I am family oriented and have fishing set ups that are very user and new comer friendly.
