Week of March 26, 2012

Captain Wayne Johnson with www.extremeflatsfishing.com out of Regatta Point Marina located in Palmetto, FL reporting the week of fishing for March 26th of 2012 fishing the lower Tampa Bay, Anna Maria Island, Bradenton Beach, down to Long Boat Key. I can honestly say what an awesome week of fishing! We have caught a boat load of fish from Redfish, Snook, Trout, Cobia, Mackerel, and even jumping a couple of Tarpon.

The bite is on! If you are ready for heart pounding action of hooking a Tarpon right now is the time; they are here! We have targeted Tarpon one trip this week and what a blast, on our morning trip in the first couple of hours of fishing we jumped 2 fish and seen many more!

If you are looking for steady action our Lower Tampa Bay flats fishing has been off the charts and you just don't know what you are going to catch when you set the hook! We have been targeting deep grass beads in 6 to 8 feet of water catching large numbers of Sea Trout up to 31" and tons of reel smoking Mackerel, along with Cobia, Black Sea Bass, Flounder, Grouper, and hooking up on a couple for sharks.

It seems like our Snook are starting to make a full recovery from the cold winters of the past couple of years. We have not really targeted our Snook because of the possibility of loss but while targeting Redfish over the past week we have hooked a few line-siders and while running the flats there are a lot more fish than the last couple of years. The redfish bite has been a little slow but the Snook have made up for it!

The upside is there are so many fish to target when one is slow we have a lot of wonderful options to get on the fish!

If you have considered taking a charter now is the time before it gets to hot! To book your fishing adventure please contact Captain Wayne Johnson @ 941-773-3513 or l84fisn@gmail.com
