Well the target species for the day was Black Crappie although it was a day like I have never experianced. The slab Crappie have seemed to be gone due to all the lake pressure although we did catch our limits of smaller fish, and I feel sure this lake will not produce the size and quantity again for a few years. We did have a amazing day although catching everything else the lake has to offer. While trolling Culprit Crappie Baits on Vicious 6# Panfish line we gave the line a real test catching Cat Fish,Bass,Bowfin and even a Softshell turtle all weighing three plus pounds each. So if you want to catch Bass or Bluegill Lochloosa is still the place to fish. If you do not have a boat or fishing gear hire a guide.
