Started driving South from Gillikins, went to check it out, had reports of birds diving out past the bar. Yesterday was a field day w Stripers chasing bait up on the beach. Today different story. Found my favorite spot un ocuppied, as most people left. Winds and grass made 10 oz. tough to hold. It was a slow roll to the North. Metal or swimmers weren't working today. It was a clam bite! All Stripers were from 18- 27 ,3/4 inches, not a 1 keeper out of 40 fish caught! They have to be 28 inches in Jersey. Tomorrow Blackfishing in the Point Pleasant Canal , the limit goes up to 6 @ 14 inches.
