I had Doug Easton and wife out today for a six hr trip.

The fishing wasn't as good as it has been the past few days as a small

cold front pushed through this morning behind about 3 inches of rain

and a north wind. The schooling fish didn't show themselves very well

this morning. It was kinda one fish here and one fish their.

The shiner bite how ever was good and we ran out of two doz shiners

in about 1 hr.With the north wind blowing against the current today the shad

just didn't come to the top and trigger the schooling fish to fire up.

We still have two months of great schooling fish action coming on the river.

I have a lot of days open in April and May and the fishing will only get better

as the shad hatch is just getting started. This area of the St Johns River is only minutes from Orlando.Disney World and Daytona Beach.
