Sorry for the lack of reports the past week.I have been moving into my new home between guide trips.Last week the artificial bite was off most of the week due to the high wind associated with the cold front that came through. The fish headed for thick cover and the only way we could get them to bite was BIG WILD SHINERS floated under the big matts of grass on the edge of the main river channel.I spent have the week north of Lake Monroe and half the week south and the fishing seemed to be about the same both ways.I guided Jack G and son Brett Tuesday and Friday and the shiner bite was very good both days with some very nice fish being caught. With the weather getting right this week the artificial bite should be on fire the next month.I have plenty of days open in May and this is one of the best months to fish the St Johns River located only minutes from Orlando,Disney World and Daytona Beach
