Venice is coming alive.....Cypress Cove Marina is getting packed with the big yachts and the New Restaurant is OPEN . Capt. Kevin said all the food is great. He should know, he has been helping me in the off season with my catering business.
We only fished Saturday on the Ocean Hunter and had a 120lb Yellowfin, some small Dolphin and Wahoo. On a small patch of grass about 25 miles out of Southpass a 200lb Blue ate one of our secret baits and only gave us a 5 jump show. Capt. Kevin said he is saving himself for this weekend.
The crews have been working on the 55' Ocean getting it ready for the big tournament this weekend. Capt. Kevin has his good buddy Steve Coon from Lafayette fishing the tournament. Steve's last trip out (24hr) in December they caught a 400 lb Blue Marlin at night on a diamond jig . He has good luck...WE WILL SEA NEXT WEEK.
