Fishing for Fluke with Captain Al Lorenzetti Fishing for Fluke with Captain Al Lorenzetti "Fishing for Fluke" is an in-depth look at one of the most popular types of inshore fishing on the East Coast. Fluke fishing can be a laid back affair for the whole family or a sporting challenge for those looking to score with that big "doormat" trophy fish. Successful fluke fishing requires attention to detail. In this video, Al covers all of the elements needed to catch them like a pro. Preparing and rigging baits is a featured topic. Very often overlooked by most anglers is the fact that artificial lures can be deadly for catching fluke. Al covers the most effective patterns and shows the proper rigging, tipping-off , and fishing technique that makes them irresistible to these gamesters. Tackle used for fluke fishing can vary widely. Al points out the type of tackle that works best for bait fishing, working artificial lures or fly-fishing. The use of electronics can always add to fishing success. They can be very helpful in locating potential fishing hot spots. Al explains how you can use your sonar recorder to find good bottom structure that may hold some quality fish. Al puts it al together in his fluke fishing action sequences. Fishing techniques that work best under different tidal conditions and water depths are covered. Hooking, landing and handling of the catch is discussed and illustrated as well. To wrap it all up on a culinary note, Al illustrates the proper way to fillet this most tasty of all inshore game fish. www.skimmeroutdoors.com Views: 19567 Rating:

Choosing A Company -- Stock Market Fundamentals (18) Choosing A Company -- Stock Market Fundamentals (18) The world changes everyday, especially fast in the stock market. Companies rise and fall depending on how they manage the challenges facing them. Small investors must avoid the following mistakes: • Intoxication with company potential while neglecting the risks. • Failing to look at the companys cash generation. • Bottom fishing without knowing why the price is coming down. • Herd mentality. Buy when others buy. Sell when others sell. Start with the DOW The current depressed situation presents good opportunities for choosing a company. Many firms listed in the Dow Jones Industrial Average suddenly become affordable. The only black sheep to avoid is General Motors that is teetering on the brink of disaster. While the market suffers from the current financial crisis, nearly every stock got beaten down. You must identify those that are beaten down by emotions, not their own financial woes. Those companies have a bottom due to the cash earned in previous years, which will help them survive this downturn. Where or when is the bottom then? Nobody knows except the big players when they start buying. The following are some DOW companies selected for one critical reason, namely, sufficient cash on hand: Alcoa (AA) • Down from $40 to under $10 since July 08. • Earnings per year around $1.5 billion. Low P/E ratio = 4.3 • Risks: Aluminum price down, demands down in construction, aircraft, and consumer industries. General Electric (GE) • Down from $40 to under $18 since Nov. 07. • Earnings per year around $20 billion. Low P/E ratio = 8.7 • Risks: Very diversified business, relatively low risks. Intel (INTC) • Down from $30 to under $15 since Nov. 07. • Earnings per year around $7 billion. P/E ratio = 11.3 • Risks: Depending on demand for PCs, cell phones, autos, etc. Microsoft (MSFT) • Down from $35 to under $22 since Dec. 07. • Earnings per year around $17 billion. P/E ratio = 11.3 • Risks: Depending on demand for PCs, cell phones, etc. Pfiser (PFE) • Down from $25 to under $17 since Jan. 08. • Earnings per year around $10 billion. P/E ratio = 10.6 • Risks: Some drug patents expiring, government health care reform. Home Depot (HD) • Down from $30 to under $20 since Aug. 08. • Earnings per year around $3 billion. P/E ratio = 9.8 • Risks: Depending on demand for housing and construction. Bank of America (BAC) • Down from $40 to under $21 since Sept. 08. • Earnings per year around $5 billion. P/E ratio = 17.9 • Risks: Default mortgage exposure. Applied Materials (AMAT), not a DOW component • Down from $20 to under $12 since July 08. • Earnings per year around $1 billion. P/E ratio = 13.8 • Risks: Depending on demand for computer chips equipment. Oracle (ORCL), not a DOW component • Down from $23 to under $16 since July 08. • Earnings per year around $5 billion. P/E ratio = 14.7 • Risks: Depending on demand for database software. A small investor cannot afford to diversify due to limited cash. It is best to focus on one or two companies chosen from a short list. The most important criteria should be based on: • A beaten-down price due to general market conditions, not its own. • Decent profits previously earned to enable survival through bad times. • Seem to be near bottom with prospect for good rebound. • Company is well established for many years. Pokémon Red/Blue - Gym Fishing Glitch This is a glitch in Pokémon Red/Blue. In any gym with large statues (as well as Lorelei and Lance's rooms in the Elite Four), you can use the Old Rod or Good Rod on the bottom of the statue. A Super Rod won't work; you'll get the message "Looks like there's nothing here" (as you will see). Pokémon will appear from rods and you can fight them like you would from water. You can also surf on these statues, but you will not find any wild Pokémon at all (this is not shown in this video). This doesn't work in the Saffron City gym or the Cinnibar Island gym. The statues are smaller, so they won't work. Views: 17363 Rating:
