Muskie Bay Fly Rod Pike Trying to force myself to learn more about and get better at fly fishing. I spent most of the day on Crow Lake out of Muskie Bay Resort picking on and landing a couple dozen smallmouth bass. Largest was just over 18" and all of them were on 'bunny leeches' with lead eyes so they sank a little faster. Cummings Lake Video This video highlights Cummings Lake in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern Minnesota. From May 21 to May 24, 2009, Aaron Kelson and Jay Hancock were camped on an island on the lake. We are tempted to call the island "Crows' Nest Island" due to the noisy crows on the island's east side. It is a beautiful place. The fishing was good. We caught bass and crappies. Burrows Park Brookies On the Upper Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, Burrows Park is an area at about 11000 feet and surrounded by high Colorado peaks. It is on the way to Cinnamon Pass and as the crow flies, not too far from Silverton. We fly fished in a steady 40 to 50 mph wind with gusts even higher.
