hernando county fire ambulance crash crash of rescue 22 while working a call on interstate 75 UPDATE: everybody asking .....so what's up, what happened.. here's the story. rescue 22 was working an accident on I75. they were parked on the inside shoulder. the crew had just gotten into the back of rescue when one of three tractor-trailers slammed into the back of it. the crew sustained injuries, but were released same day. the crew of two paramedics were out on work related injuries for months. (neck/back injuries). the pt was not further injuried. ( it was going to be a refusal and they had moved into the rescue to do a set of vitals and get info out of the heat. the car on top of the rescue came from one of the car cariers over the top and landed where you see it. a second rig slammed into the first. the third avoided the crash as it was in the outside lane and slightly ahead of the other two. so there's the rest of the story...
