Herd of Whitetail Deer in Burnet County Texas My son and I were on our way back from fishing at Lake Buchanan in Burnet County Texas, when my son Colton spotted the largest herd of white tail deer I have ever seen in this area. These deer are not in a controlled area. Notice the regular height barbed wire fence, as I approach the deer from the road. This video was taken 3/20/08 between Briggs Texas and Burnet Texas on Burnet county road 210 at about 6 p.m. We counted about 30 deer.
