One heck of a LOT of fun! This trout is average size, 3-5 pounds, which is a common everyday fish there. Dime a dozen fish. 8-12 pound fish are not rare, 20-30 pound brown trout are possible and do happen on Lake Ontario. These little ones are big enough to filet and make excellent table fare. Monster Brown Trout Fishing New York-(Tributary of Lake Ontario) These photos were taken by my daughter one beautiful November day in Hamlin,NY. The browns were in the spawn heavy, they were very agressive and therefore easy to catch. Having the right fly pattern and presentation, it seemed easy.
