San Diego Free Diving I would like to share with you a video I made out of all the pictures and videos we have filmed during late December of '08 to January of '09. I have great stories to tell but unfortunately, they weren't captured on film. Devin and I started diving in the summer of 2008. We were diving everyday, sometimes twice a day. We went lobster diving at night and other times, early in the morning. During the day, we went out to snorkel or to go spearfishing. Devin caught plenty of fish and eventually, some lobsters. He caught a 5 pound lobster at our secret spot in San Diego. It was perfect with garlic and butter. We had scrumptious fish tacos several times and even fresh sashimi when we dared to. We've tried some weird things like sea cucumber and sea urchin. And we've also tried some mussels off the rocks, out of desperation on our first few dives. The scallops are always delicious. Almost everything we have tried turned out great. When winter came around, the water got too cold even with our wetsuits. It was in the low 50s when we last dove. We have enjoyed every dive. We swam with leopard sharks and we saw a gray whale, a guitar fish, a soup fin shark, dolphins, a green sea turtle, a sand dollar bed, a horned shark, and many other magnificent creatures. We saw all of them but they are sadly not in this video. Devin's mom gave him a wonderful Christmas present in 2008 and it's his first digital underwater camera.
