Protecting your yard sign We have had some trouble lately with our signs getting stolen. We have found a solution that seems to work. Heres what you need. Scissors, some string, and a box of pull-poppers, party poppers, something that does this Poke a hole through the corner of the sign above the wire frame. Make it about the width of a nickel. Remove the sign from its frame. Push one end into the hole, reach from the inside and CAREFULLY pull the string from one side completely inside. Tie the other string thru the hole, knot it tightly, but make sure to hold the string on the inside so you do not set off the fire work. Tie a string to the other side of the cracker to extend it to the ground. Tie a nail to the other side, and drive it into the ground at an angle. You may need to wrap the extra string around the nail a few times to pick up slack. If you like, trim the extra string off the top, dont go too close to the knot.
