Making a temporary tow point for a wakeboarding/wakeskating rope. This video shows a temporary slip knot that can be tied at any point in a tow rope where there are no more removable sections. I like to use a braided twine that is treated with a non-slip coating to prevent knot slippage. If you happen to make some and set them, let me know how you make out. Always be repectful of land owners and get permission...Stay away from residential areas to avoid pets...Post your area to advise other hunters of your snares, and always respect the environment. Snaring Rabbits - How to Set a Rabbit Snare This is a video of my version of setting a rabbit snare...I was inspired to make this video and other videos, from a video I took of my father setting one last season. Check out my videos "Making a Rabbit Snare" and "Snaring Rabbits - Checking Rabbit Snares" The proof is in the pudding. It works! When searching for an area to snare, if there is no snow, rabbit droppings are a great indicator of the presence of rabbits. The droppings are about the same size and shape of the candy "smarties", with a grainy texture. You can also secure your snares to available cover if it is next to the area you selected to set the snare, rather than cutting and tieing to a tree limb. The easiest shoelace knot that never loosens This an easy to make shoe tie that does not loosen and unties quickly. It's not the "classical " double knot, which you cannot untie easily. It's great for trekking and sports. For the right-handed version (this one) leave the left shoelace end longer for the extra wrap. It is the classical shoe tie with one extra wrap around the first loop. It will require an extra practice to get the end through the double loop but it's worth trying.
