Making a Controlled Depth Float Vid 2 of 2 http://phartattack.tripod.com/balloon.html Controlled depth fishing is where you have a knot on your line such as the UNI-KNOT. I just cut the line the depth I want to fish then re-connect the line with a UNI-KNOT, My preference is 20 feet, add a bead, A swivel then your leader or however you would like your line rigged the purpose of the bead is to make sure your float goes no further than the knot in your line. My Father taught me how to use this method for catching Blue Catfish and Redfish in a Stocked Lake although he sometimes uses a 20 ounce plastic soda bottle for his float. Some fishermen use this method while drifting in a boat this way they can have a couple of fishing rods with lines right off the boat and a couple more lines further away from the boat during the drift. This video demonstrates how to make and set up a Controlled Depth Float. Please Rate my videos and comment. **Manuel Z Other type of Controlled float: http://www.gofastandlight.com/images/pt_403.jpeg Views: 8780 Rating:

the knotless knot (hair rig) get a hook of your choice and cut yourself a bit of braid . make the loop which you probably already know. and slide your hook down the braid or mono, next start wrapping the braid around your hook until you feel the sharp end of the hook, then go back through the eye of the hook and pull it tight and then attach a swivel and tie it on with a knot of your choice. comments please hope this helps you. T3 ep3: Yo-Yo Basics (unfinished) VERY BASIC STUFF, for beginners! Precession, string position, trapeze, double or nothing, sidestyle, tilt correction. EXTRA INFO: gimmeadollr: "can someone explain why the single string should be facing your index?" When looping, keeping the single string towards your index will prevent it from loosening and falling off mid-loop (or twisting around) -- this is also true for throwing sidestyle or frontstyle, so even if you don't loop you should still do it. You can easily test this by simply pulling on the yo-yo in one direction or the other. In the "correct" direction it will tighten the string, and the other it will...not necessarily loosen it, but it won't stay tight and thus may swivel around your finger. It's a slip-knot, remember. 2008 Canoe and kayak sail in Vancouver Canada In this video I am sailing in about 10-12 knots of wind off Jericho Beach in Vancouver. The video shows a couple of tacks, I have to duck under the boom as it is low, just a few inches higher than the gunnels, and swivel the wing mast into the wind. Views: 1091 Rating:

Floating Trout Rig Shelton Hook big trout action DIY (Do it yourself) floating trout rig as demonstrated by Craig Wood. Using this rig with Berkley Power Bait when trout is suspended and if fishing 2 rods use a standard Shelton Quick Out Hook with a TadPole™ snagless weight on one rig while using Craig's floating rig equipped with a pen float, Shelton Quick Out Hook with Berkley Power Bait on the other rod. This way you catch both bottom cruisers as well as suspended fish near the surface. Starting at the top is a ting 3 hole plastic slider then a small bead, then the line goes through the bottom of the pen float leading to a snap swivel. To this a Shelton Quick Out Hook rig is attached with 2 ting ball weights clipped near the top loop of the rig. Near the Shelton Quick Out Hook sleeve attach another ball weight by hand so you don't pinch the line. This tiny ball weight needs to slide when you pull the sleeve to release the fish. Since you aren't breaking off hooks in fish and with the TadPole snagless weights, not breaking off in rocks, you get in more fishing time because you are not down re-rigging so that gives you more time with your bait in the water and you improve your catch. This is especially important when you have kids, as you will not spend all of your time re-rigging them. It is especially a good feeling seeing them swim away. Berkley Power Bait and these hooks and TadPole make one of the most effective trout bait rig there is. Catch and keep, no problem, you get the hook out instantly, and catch and release couldn't be easier. Regarding self-releasing hooks. They are design to release fish without touching them. Basically how they work is the eye of the hook is at the bend of the hook and the leader line goes through a flexible plastic sleeve that goes over leader line and when the sleeve is slid down over the shank of the hook it is set and fish just like a regular fishhook. The sleeve has a second line tied to the top of this and parallels the main leader line and is attach by a sliding 3 turn uniknot tied with thread. When you slid the red knot up by pinching it or using a pocket comb it slides the sleeve up and the hook rotates and self releases.
