Blackman's Lake in Snohomish County
It seems every time I visit Blackman's lake it rains and I never do as good as others report. But don't let that stop you from visiting this lake. Especially if you are shore-bound. Three nice fishing piers and a good city park make this a popular lake to visit. The ramp is more suited to small boats. Mike April 2007 Blackman's Lake (60 acres): Blackman's Lake is located in the town of Snohomish. There is access on the south shore and city park, with a disabled-accessible fishing pier on the northeast shore. Rainbow trout are the main attraction. Largemouth bass and yellow perch are also available. Expect fair fishing in spring and fall months. Disabled accessibility in county park Level 1. DP, WCT, ramp down to accessible fishing dock, picnic shelter, picnic areas and tables.

Sockeye Salmon Fishing on Lake Washington
A huge run of Sockeye Salmon hit Lake Washington in 2006 and the Fishing with Cliff crew, along with everyone else with a floating device was out on the lake to catch them! Hell we even had the mighty Reverend Poon onboard to give us a few blessings.

B.A.R.F. (Baltimore Area Rat Fishing)
B.A.R.F., Baltimore Area Rat Fishing explores the strange world of a group of rat fishermen holding their annual rat fishing tournament hosted at the Yellow Rose bar in Baltimore. Just 45 miles away in a dirty alley in Adams Morgan, Washington D.C., Eric the host of this video attempts a little rat fishing with sometimes hilarious results. Nothing better than a Saturday night with a case of beer, your favorite girlfriend, some bacon, peanut butter and a hook.

Pine Lake in King County
Pine lake is one of my favorite "tradition" lakes. I have taken my boys there most every Opening Day since moving to the area. You can't go wrong taking your family here for a pleasant day of fishing and relaxing at the park. Video was shot early spring when the lake is at it's planted best. Mike Pine Lake, King County, 88 acres. Exit 17 off I-90 at Issaquah, E. Sammamish rd to Issaquah/Pine Lake rd 2 1/2 miles. This lake holds rainbow, bass, sunfish, and crappie. It is 40 feet deep at the center and warms up quickly in the spring. The lake is developed and has an excellent county park on it. There is a large fishing pier and ample parking. The boat launch is for hand launched boats only. No gas motors allowed.

Long Lake in Kitsap County
I fished Long long (one of several different Long Lakes in Washington) with local bass angler Bob Johansen in the spring of 2007. It was a beautiful spring day. Bob put on a bass angling clinic and brought in all the fish, including an impressive 2.4 lb black crappie. And that was after I told him to take a submerged log - I think that was my fish! In any case, Long is a great bass lake but does tend to weed up as the summer progresses.

Bear Lake in Spokane County by Marc Martyn
Bear Lake has something for the whole family. It is operated by the Spokane County Park Department and is designed for the young angler (15 yrs. & younger), the disabled and the elderly. The park is laid out well with paved hiking paths, a playground and docks for swimming and fishing. It is a great place for a picnic or family reunion and is within 15 miles of Spokane. My special thanks to Paul Reece for contributing his music for this video.

Rattlesnake Lake in King County
Another five star selective fisheries lake. Beautiful views, great fishing, no gas motors. One of my favorite destinations. Mike Rattlesnake Lake (50-100 acres): Rattlesnake is located close to Cedar Falls, south of North Bend (I-90 exit to 436th SE). Highly variable springs cause this unusual lake to fluctuate greatly in volume and surface area through the summer months. A park on the east shore has pit toilets and a primitive boat ramp. The lake is managed for rainbow trout, with fish to 15 inches taken. Selective fishery regulations are in effect, except electric motors are allowed.

Kapowsin Lake in Pierce County
This lake is a bass angler's dream and a boater's nightmare. Stumps everywhere. Bob Johansen and I had a good time fishing, if not catching. Nice new ramp and parking lot by WDFW. Mike

American Lake, Pierce County
American lake is firmly established as one of the greater Tacoma area's primary fishing lakes. The video was shot on a cool day with moderating winds. Fished with Bruce Middleton. Tough day for bass but a nice day on the water. Mike This lake is 1125 acres, 8 miles SW of Tacoma. Take the Camp Murray-Madigan exit from Hwy 5 to one mile to lake. The lake holds rainbow, cutthroat, kokanee, perch, largemouth and rock bass, and bullhead. There are several boat launches on the lake, as well as a resort on the lake's east shore.
