Kabetogama/Namakan Fishing Report 3/12/07

Angler action slowed this past week as inland lakes season closed for walleyes and northern pike. Snow storms and forecasts for snow deterred many hopeful anglers towards the weekend.

Namakan Lake, a border water, provides anglers with the walleye season extended til April 15th, and northern pike season continuous.

Lots of ice with a 10-15" snow cover, but no slushy conditions reported.

Northern bite on Namakan strong and walleye action has been spotty at best as have the crappies.

Warmer weather in the forecast should bring on a crappie bite in the weeks to come.

Be reminded, yourselves and fish houses require new licenses for the 2007 season.

Have a Great Day!
