Crappie - Fishing has been pretty tough on Weiss Lake this January. We have had some of the coldest weather Cherokee County has seen in a long time. Water temps are still hovering in the low 40's with fish activity very slow. The only fish that has been caught here is the last few day's have been at Chattooga River and area's around Riverside using the fly and cork technique. Descent stringers are coming from Chattooga fishing 5 to 6 foot deep in 8 to 10 feet of water. Southern Pro Grubs in Blue/Chartreuse and Black/Chartreuse is producing some action. As the water warms and breaks 50 degree's look for long line trolling to fire off... Good Fishing...!
