Fishing Report 2/8/08

As usual this time of year the desired species is Sailfish. We have been averaging 1 - 3 fish per trip. The numbers are not as high as we would like to see but nonetheless our customers have their chances at experiencing a catch of a lifetime. This past week we fished in front of Monument Can just southeast of Key Biscayne and we have been cathing Sails, Dolphin, and Kingfish. One of the sails we caught was the biggest ever on Gordy's Dusky. Possibly 70 inches from lower jaw to fork. Video of the realease can be seen on under Site Contents. Our friends down south have been reporting excellent yellowtail snapper action at night. The mutton snapper has layed down somewhat. In the cuts and channels Tarpon fishing continues to be excellent.
