We have been working the reefs on Northern Key Largo and have been having success with yellowtail snapper and the occasional Mutton Snapper and Grouper. Offshore the Dolphin bite is hit or miss. We are waiting for the annual mullet run. The first few cold fronts to push through should get the run going and the offshore bite heating up again. Our friends in north Lauderdale have been reporting some bait schools consisting of sardines and mullet. We are pretty much in the slow time of the year. Changes should be happening soon. Reef fishing is the best bet. You never know who is going to show up. While yellowtail snapper fishing in 60 feet 2 weeks ago we had a Mahi-Mahi and a Sailfish come up to our spread.
