Since the Mahi-Mahi action this year has been on the small side and the cost of fuel keeps going up. We decided to make a change and switch over to the reef and target Yellowtail Snapper. As long as there is current and plenty of chum the bite should be good. This was the case this past Saturday night with our party which consisted of Al and Andres from Miami. We managed a nice bag of Flag Yellowtail Snapper and Triggerfish. Elsewhere offshore the Mahi - Mahi is somewaht slow. Most of the fish are on the small side with an occasional gaffer. The best bet is hitting the reefs, deep ledges, and wreck fishing if you want to bend a rod.
