[Mosquito Lagoon,FL] Summer of 2018 has been great catching so far, Redfish, Black Drum, Seatrout, Snook, Tarpon, Sharks and other inshore saltwater species as well. Plenty of bait fish, shrimp, and crabs for these game fish to eat around the backcountry. Also Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, and Ladyfish being caught for loads fo variety.

[Fort Lauderdale,FL] We started trolling using two #8 plainers with sea witches and double hooked Bonito strips on both. For surface baits we went with four Ballyhoos. We trolled the reefs, ranging from 90 ft. of water out to 200 ft. of water.

The conditions were cloudy and overcast with easterly winds, which are my favorite conditions for Tuna fishing.

[Bonita Beach,FL] Fishing offshore when calm enough has been very productive for all kinds of snapper, as well as red grouper (shorts0 and many other bottom varieties. Inshore fishing was good until red tide intruded on our bays and estuaries.

[Fort Lauderdale,FL] Our spread of baits were 4 surface Ballyhoos and two deep plainer lines with sea witch and Bonito strips. We headed in and of out the reef structure, working over good areas which held bait. The first strike we had was just on top of a rock pile structure, and it hit the long deep plainer bait 6 times before finally getting hooked.

[Fort Lauderdale,FL] We started trolling by the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale in 120 ft of water 1.8 miles from shore. We put out two kites with two live Goggle Eyes from each kite. We also put a dead Bonita bait 100 ft. down and another 200 ft. down on the bottom. Our target species were Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Shark and Grouper.
