The bite as of Mid-May has slowed down a bit as usual for this time of year, however the Hooked On Costa Rica boats are still managing to deliver their guests some very nice fish.
While any travel calender you read will indicate that the Costa Rica Rainy season has begun (May-Nov), the rains don't appear until the late afternoon, offering plenty of nice weather in the morning at throughout the day to enjoy a full day offshore.
Here come the Roosters! While the Billfish season traditionally slows down after April, the Nearshore fishery comes alive. We're talking 25-90lbs. of hard fighting, drag screaming fish!
