On Nov. 30th Capt. Dale Fridy and I went out to scout for a trip the next day. About 15 minutes North of Port Isabel we poled and fished a flat next to a channel. I stayed on the stick because I get a lot more bow time than my good friend Dale. In about 3 hours we had about 12 tailing shots on fly of which Dale hooked and landed 9. The fly used was a white neutral buoyancy streamer about 3.5 inches long. I got one on the tower with spinning. Awesome!

The next day, Dale and I with our clients on board left the dock at about 8:30am in our two Hell's Bay guide edition skiffs. I went North again about an addtl. 10 minutes to the three island area and starting poling another flat next to a channel about 500 yards off the intercoastal. The fish were tailing in singles and doubles for as far as you could see. We got about 40 shots in about 3 hours(over 3.5 times as many as the day before) and came away with ZERO, NADA, ZIPPO, THE BIG GOOSE EGG!!! It's all about the presentation baby!!!!
