Dock with care...

We are a charter service company that has operated in the Stuart/Ft. Pierce area for a period of almost 4 years. We recently moved from Stuart FL to Ft. Pierce City Marina. we are not your average or every day charter service as well as doing fishing charters we also do bikini girl charters as well. After spending time and money to move the boat into the City Marina we were immediately advised that some sections of our website needed to be removed, we immediately complied with the Marina's request. After being in the marina for 18 days and getting rude comments from 3 other charter captains because we were a bigger boat then they had, we finally got the call to remove our boat from the marina. Upon asking why...we received the comments that it was do to flyers advertising our business being put into one fo the local drinking and dining facilities. Instead of a simple, we will remove them and it won't happen again we were told remove our boat.

We also asked what we needed to do to comply with any hidden rules to keep our boat in this location, however we were told that they did not want to get into a pissing contest with us and to simply remove our vessel. With this not even being a subject for discussion we knew immediately that there was something more than just flyers and the bikini girls. We have since found a new home for our boat and are looking forward to running her out of this new marina. SO, just fair warning for anyone...if you have a good location for your boat and not receiving any flack, then consider keeping it in that location instead of relocating, especially if it is to the City Marina in Ft. Pierce, FL. This is the most closed minded and discriminating marinas we have ever been too. So, dock with warning and thoroughly check out a new marina before moving your boat.
