Water levels have come up the past two weeks drastically almost to July type levels. With it a flush of the bead action flowed out of the Kenai almost as fast as the water from the lake. flesh action is starting to heat up however and good catches are being reported river wide. Power boats are still running with the high water levels and drift boat traffic in the upper river has started to slow down. Warm temps for an extended fall is greatly welcome and some anglers are taking full advantage of it. Concentrate with fresher looking flesh patterns starting to dull in color as the weeks progress. fat/small furry/thin your choice but change it up a bit and dont be afraid to toss something gaudy. Look for the fish to fill up behind the bars and possible start to look for some of the late Silver spawn as the temps start to drop.
