We headed out of Bass River, it was a beautiful morning. We were heading to a portion of Monomoy rips called Rodgers Shoal. The wind was light out of the North. I had four anglers on-board. We Had a bet going on between boats who would catch the largest striped bass that trip. It started out with a bang. We were catching fish on the surface at first but as the sun got up and the light got brighter the fish sunk down and the bite slowed. We switched over to bait fishing and started catching some real nice fish. There was a couple of times we had 3 fish on at once. The bet was won with the fish in the picture I am posting. It measured just under 47". We are also catching lots of Tuna. The last trip we caught 5 fish. WE had a trip last week we caught 10 fish. We are all booked up on the week-ends but there are plenty of days available mid week. Tight Lines, Capt. Ray Ransom
