Another great day!!
Started the morning off where we caught them yesterday and immediately began catching fish. By 8am we had a limit of reds and 30 trout. I must have been thinking exactly whay they were thinking because when I made the proposition to go look for some BIG trout they were all over it. These were the same guys that were with us yesterday so they had caught plenty of fish. "we dont need to catch anymore to be satisfied, lets go look for a hog" Thats all it took for me to pull up and take off.
We actually made about 6 stops without even seeing a trout. As I was pulling up to my next and last spot, I told the guys this was it. If they are anywhere this is the spot. And they were there! Nothing to put on the wall, but in the next hour we boated 30 trout in the 3-5 pound range. We also caught a Red that was 40 pounds. A REAL 40 pounder, not one of these 20 pounders that somebody says, YEAH THAT THING MUST BE 40 POUNDS". This fish was THICK! Ended the day with around 60 fine trout, a limit of reds and a bunch of bulls released.
