We're not talking about Audobon Society birding down here on the Texas Coast right now. We are talking about birding of a differnt kind. This time of year in the early mornings and late evenings specific sea gull species group together in small bands looking for rooting redfish to take advantage of their left overs. The redfsih pods will root or mud in small groups in shallow water disoreintating small crustaceons and baitfish. The redfish and gulls have a feast of tiny tid-bits available for the taking. The gulls will hover over the redfish and await their turn to feed. So get your binoculars out and go birding of a different kind.

Tightlines,

Capt. Jim Blackburn
