Had a great Day fishing the Belgrades with client Nick Shaw and his dad. We started out catching and releasing 5 brown trout between 12 and 14 inches early in the morning. At mid-morning we got a vicious strike on a flyrod tipped with a sewed shiner and it turned out to be a brown trout weighing 10 lbs 12 ounces. Nick landed the fish and it was 26.5 inches long and 18 inches in girth. Could quite possibly be the largest brown trout boated in the state for 2010. After we had the fish weighed on a state certified scale, we went back out to a different part of the lake and Nick's dad boated an 18 inch fish and a 22 inch 4lb. 11 oz. beauty. I dropped them off at 1:15 P.M. with nearly 18lbs. of trout. Nick is now a member of Maine's prestigious "One that Didn't Get Away Trophy Fish Club"
