Caddo Lake fall time fishing report

2006-10-24 10:44:45
Caddo Lake, Texas - Freshwater Fishing Report
mainly the upper Texas end of Caddo Lake.

Water temps have been ranging from 60 early in the day to 64 later in the day. The lake is 2 ft. low, but stable. The bass are beginning to get more aggressive as the water cools and they will only get better with time. Most of the bass have come out of the grass and pad mix using a V&M Pork Shad(super fluke) in colors of watermelon/red and junebug fishing them over and through the hydrilla and pads on the creek and slough edges. Texas rigged watermelon candy/chartreuse tail High Tails(brushhog) pitched along the edges of the creeks and on the cypress trees are working well. We have really caught some nice sized bass this past week, including several 5-7 lb. bass.
