Fishing over the past few weeks has steadily improved since the mid-January cold blast. Water temps dropped into the mid 40's and the fish started biting again. Lots of 2-5lb fish but some nice 8-10lb fish have come out to play.

They are hitting Bomber crank baits and Gulp shad fished on jigs and weighted worm hooks rigged weedless. A few slot drum have been hooked on these weedless setups fished near the banks. There have been some small gars willing to hit X-raps and even a catfish or two hitting the crank baits and some live bait. If you venture far enough of the salty path largemouth and some pickerel may be in store.

Still booking Winter Trips. Call for some Winter Specials.

Bio: Fishing the Cape Fear Area for over ten years. Fly fishing and light tackle for inshore and near shore fish year round. Come fish for Stripers from November through April and an assortment of saltwater fish April through November. I love to night fish during the summer to beat the heat and the crowds.
