BLUEFISH, BLUEFISH, BLUEFISH. If you're interested in testing your will against the most aggressive, vicious and pound-for-pound nastiest fighting fish in the water, then this is your game. They came into Raritan Bay in big numbers this week and it's just a matter of following the birds and start casting metal jigs at these born "killers". Most people don't take any bluefish fillets home, but they are great fun for the true sportfisherman. Anyone interested in testing your mettle, then give me a call.

Stripers are also doing well in the bay, but by far the current most productive way to catch them is by trolling Stretch 25's at various locations on braided line, which is the only way we troll for anything. A nice mix of "schoolies" as well as a mixture of bigger fish are starting to show now that some pods of bunker have entered the bay.

Water temps are also on the increase which is a really good sign.

Tight Lines to all.......

Capt. John
