Guided on the new private lake for the first time today. The water is high

and the fish are scattered but we did manage 6 fish with this 11 1/4 being

the biggest. The fish was 31 inches long with no girth at all. Yesterday

we caught a 9 1/2 pound fish that was only 26 inches long with a big girth.

These fish are used to living in 12 to 25 ft of water with all the Shad and Bream

they care to eat but with the water being so high up in the fields I have been seeing

big fish moving around way back in the bushes in less then a foot of water.

The past two days we have not caught a fish on a shiner.

We have caught and 11 1/4 9 1/2 and two over 7 all fishing a Texas rigged

worm with a 1/8 oz rattle weight way back behind the main grass line in two ft of

water or less.
