We started out this month with a bang, catching Sailfish, Mahi, Sharks and Amberjack. Both the morning and afternoon charters have been very productive with trolling, live baiting and wreck fishing out of Fort Lauderdale Florida.

We are catching the multiple species out of Fort Lauderdale by kite fishing with live baits. Catching Sails, Mahi, Kings and Sharks. When the wind blows a good 10 to 15 mph, we are able to have a nice spread of kites with 4 to 5 baits off the kites, a couple our of the riggers and one down deep for the snapper or grouper bite. Still catching Sailfish and they are coming through our shallow waters, catching them in anywhere from 120 to 175 feet of water.

Also we are targeting Sharks off Fort Lauderdale. By using dead bait, best being King Mackerel and Bonito, Fort Lauderale Fishing has produced a nice number of Hammerheads, couple Mako, and a coupe Threashers. We fish one bait on the bottom, one in the middle and one on the surface. This will allow the sent trail to be spread along the reef and the sharks pick up the sent. Fishing out of Ft. Lauderdale, our South Florida waters have a great reef structure where the current and bait concentrations keep the predatory fish hungry and feeding.

Also we are seeing a nice catch on the wrecks. Catching Amberjack and Grouper. The best is to use live bait and drop the bait on the wreck that may lie in 195' to 295' of water.

Looking forward to taking you out fishing and catching fish.
